Getting Smarter with Smartphones!

Always on the go and always on the move, today’s generation wants everything in their pockets! Well, the smartphones made this a reality by squeezing the World Wide Web into the mobile phones.

Gone are those days when you had to look for a cyber café to do some quick search and the days when you had to carry the heavy laptops on your shoulders. Because today it’s time for the mobile internet!

Google carried out an extensive research thus revealing some really interesting figures on the smartphone usage worldwide which is just growing day by day. Mobile Marketer- a renowned news leader in the mobile marketing, media and commerce also reported that 60 percent of the smartphone users preferred looking up for any sort of information on any kind of product or service on their cell phones rather than their desktops or laptops.

There’s more to this global research done on the mobile phone users unfolding some really interesting figures showing that about 55 percent of the mobile users look up to the mobile internet for more highlights on the ads that they see in the magazines or on a poster. About 93 percent of the smartphone owners in America and Britain claimed that they have gone online on their mobile phones more often from the past seven days as compared to the 98 percent desktop users worldwide.

And why not! Cell phone is one gadget that we carry with us all the time… on our travels or trips, at work, at home, at the dinner table and at the parties. Even while we are fast asleep, cell phone is the only device that’s all up resting on our bed side waiting to wake us up with an alarm in the morning.

Convenience and comfort is the answer to this massive change in the consumer behavior thus showing a big shift in the internet usage on the mobile phones over the desktops and laptops. Bryan Laurienti, the co-owner of the BBB Systems also verified this as he mentioned convenience as the key reason to this notable inclination towards mobile internet.

There’s no second thought about it that the research on the smartphone is quick and convenient. It’s always handy to reach out to the mobile phones in our pockets than walking up to the desktops or setting up a laptop. So, whenever the smartphone consumers see an ad promoting a business, service or a product anywhere, they quickly reach out to the phones in their pockets to research more on it.

The usage of mobile internet is not just restricted to the search engines but it is extended to world of online banking as well. About 16 percent of the smartphone owners use the mobile internet to manage their bank accounts and even carry out the transactions sometimes.

Mobile phones are much handier than the being tied up to a desktop or pulling out your laptops where ever you go. So, join this mobile movement to get smarter with smartphones!
